Gameness had another riveting card of
action-packed bouts in Nashville on August 8th. The
fight of the night went to heavyweights Sam Brown of
Fit Factory and Pedro Escalante of CMMAA. Bruised and
bloody, these two fighters went the distance, with
Pedro coming out on top with a majority decision. The
Tennessee State WKA Title was on the line for fighters
Dustin Ortiz (Nashville MMA) and Chris Wright
(Knoxville MMA). After ten minutes of punches and
submission attempts by both fighters, the judges
awarded a majority decision to Ortiz. Also of note,
hometown favorite Mike Hackney ended his bout against
Pedro Diaz 47 seconds into the first round by a
mounted guillotine.
