Abdallah Wins World Title in Lockport, NY
WKA USA May 15, 2016 Lockport, NY
Long-time
WKA champion Amer Abdallah, undefeated as a
professional Full Contact fighter, won the WKA
Cruiserweight World Title on May 14th, 2016 in
Lockport, NY. The fight was scheduled for ten rounds,
but Abdallah stopped the fight one minute and nineteen
seconds into the second round with a powerful left
body kick, having already scored a knockdown in the
first round. This was truly an international event, as
Amer's friends and family flew to New York from his
home country, Jordan, to see him take on Britain's
Daniel Hughes. Abdallah, 38, has no plans to retire
and is eager to face the next challenger to his title
in November. Much loved in upstate New York, where
Amer is known not only as a fighter, but also as a
coach and promoter of the popular Lace Up Promotions,
Abdallah has also received much acclaim in the
Jordanian media for his recent victory.
